Robin’s Fifteenth Anniversary
By Victoria Rader

Remembering back a few years, I don’t remember how I first got in touch with Robin, but the first article I sent in was rejected. I was very disappointed, but she liked my writing, it just wasn’t what she was looking for at the time. She then told me of the upcoming topics. The topics we write about help people all over the country, and that makes me feel glad I started writing for Spotlight on Recovery.

You know, Matthew 14:22-36 tells about life lessons. I heard a preacher, preach on this once. Faith is a wonderful thing. This preacher said, don’t be afraid to get out of the boat, dare to walk on the water.

It takes a lot of faith and courage to take that first step. Robin took that first step, and I for one of many am glad she did.

I am not a fancy writer I just write it like it is. I still get rejections, but some articles are published, like “Children Are the Future,” “Dear Mr. President,” Part 1 and Part 2 and “Invisible Scars, Part 3.” I am thankful for SPOTLIGHT ON RECOVERY and ROBIN.
