Spotlight on Recovery By George Hopkins
When I think about “Spotlight on Recovery” I think about life, because that is exactly what I felt when Ms. Graham responded to my query letter. I have been in prison for 11 years and approximately 4 years ago, I was given another chance at life through Ms. Graham in the form of “HER BABY” (as she calls it) Spotlight on Recovery.
It’s a wonderful magazine and one that all people in the world should seek out. Spotlight on Recovery is a mother to us all – whether writer or reader – as it brings forth the words we so desperately need to nourish our spiritual side, our inner being, our…well, OURSELVES! This is how I treat it whenever Ms. Graham affords me the opportunity to share my knowledge, wisdom and understanding; to share my growth, to share my past histories, my learning experiences – all which I hope compels a person to take another path in life and not follow in my steps.
It is an honor and privilege to be a part of this legacy and the Spotlight on Recovery family. I owe all my thanks to the readers that take their time, and hard earned money to support this special magazine – which gives meaning and substance to my writing. Importantly, I have to take a bow and humble myself in the presence of a woman that most are too blind to see, is a blessing from God, for she trusted and believed in me when no one else would.
